Angelo Andoyo - Human Biology

Angelo Andoyo (he/him/his) is a third-year human biology majors who seeks to merge his passions of serving others and learning more about the anatomy of the human body. His hometown hospital sponsored his family's immigration in the U.S. so working in the healthcare field has always been the end goal for Angelo. Last summer, Angelo worked iin his hometown hospital as a patient liason.

Angelo reflects on his internship experience stating his internship experience "allowed me to truly appreciate the teamwork aspect of healthcare." Adoyo goes on to state the internship "helped realize that connecting with patients is incredibly important regardless of your role in the hospital." 

Andoyo was selected to be one of KU Med’s Scholars in Rural Health and plans on attending KU Med for his MD. He says he is preparing by meeting with advisors, participating in extracurriculars, and utilizing the University Career Center.
